United Tool & Mold, Inc. Announces Expansion to Duncan Facility

 Duncan, SC -        United Tool & Mold, Inc. (UTM) has announced plans for a significant expansion of its Duncan, SC facility.  This expansion will also include the addition of an estimated 20 highly-skilled jobs in the mold-making industry.  These jobs will support the growing demands of the automotive, consumer products/appliances, trucking, and medical industries markets.

Not only will the announced expansion increase the existing facility by more than 12,900 square feet, it will also allow UTM to add more advanced equipment, all under the use of a 55 ton crane.  This additional space and equipment will allow UTM to meet the growing needs of customer compressed lead times, providing turn-around times that keep customers in production.

UTM Now Offering Downline Solutions

United Tool & Mold  has just added capabilities for repairing and building assembly & verification equipment (automated & manual), product specific automation and robotic (articulating or gantry) integration for various production applications. 

Capabilities range from the manufacture of lean single purpose machines, to complete turnkey systems.  Functions internally supported include: Conceptual evaluations, feasibility studies, complete program management, engineering, electrical programming and controls. 

Our facility is capable of designing, fabricating, CNC machining, welding, assembly and painting.  Were ready to serve you with product specific automation, verification machines, assembly fixtures, production presses and robotic work cells.

UTM Adds 5-Axis High Speed Machining Capabilities to Both Facilities

United Tool & Mold, Inc. would like to announce the addition of a Parpas Estrema 5-Axis High Speed milling machine to our Easley Facility.  This addition will further expand the machining capabilities of UTM to go along with our Fidia GT1514/6 High Speed 5-axis Milling Machine added in 2008 in our Duncan Facility. The Estrema has machining travels of 63x  43y  28z with a spindle speed of 30,000 RPM.
