Repair Services

We have focused our efforts to 2 major goals - keeping your machines running and offering quality craftsmanship at more than competitive pricing.  With a 24-hour operation we are suited for emergency calls and quick fixes, all of which help to reduce your downtime costs.   

With the ever-changing world of just-in-time molding, we have altered the way we do business to help you keep within your time constraints, by offering around the clock service to keep you producing parts.  From engineering changes to preventive maintenance to quick turnaround repairs, we are here to meet your needs - 24 hours a day!

Laser Welding

Our new HTS160 Mobile laser welding system has both the flexibility and mobility to aid in the repair of both small and large tooling.  The swiveling arm allows for the welding of tools regardless of how the part lays in the tool, or the tools position.  The laser welder allows for the repair of surface cracks, damaged corners and edges, damaged gates, and parting lines.  The beauty of the laser welding system is that not only is it high precision, but it also has little to no discoloration of the weld and surrounding base material, due to no heat affected zone - which is an advantage with high polish and textured areas.

New Tooling 

We can design and build custom tooling from your 2D or 3D files.  Whether it be hot runner or cold runner, we can help you optimize your cycle and shorten your tooling time.

With our partnership with HS Die & Engineering, we can even work with you to get large tooling packages built, with UTM providing engineering and warranty services on the tooling. 

Prototyping

With a 24-hour operation, we can prototype your new item timely in aluminum, fabricated plastic or even machined.

Fixtures

We have the equipment and knowledge - just supply us your 2D or 3D data and we will fixture it in body mount position or on datams for QC checking parts.

Small Component Fabrication

Being mold makers allows us to handle 3D surfaces, compound angles or almost anything you can throw at us, in moderate quantities.  We do the stuff production houses don't want or can't do timely.

Service-On-Site

We will even send our people to your facility to work on tools - in the press.  From small flash issues to polishing issues, manageable work can be done in the press by UTM personnel at your facility.  The addition of our new mobile laser welder only adds to the degree of work that we can handle in the press.
