We will even send our people to your facility to work on tools - in the press. From small flash issues to polishing issues, manageable work can be done in the press by UTM personnel at your facility. The addition of our new mobile laser welder only adds to the degree of work that we can handle in the press.
Laser Welding Services
Our HTS160 Mobile laser welding system has both the flexibility and mobility to aid in the repair of both small and large tooling. The swiveling arm allows for the welding of tools regardless of how the part lays in the tool, or the tools position. The laser welder allows for the repair of surface cracks, damaged corners and edges, damaged gates, and parting lines. The beauty of the laser welding system is that not only is it high precision, but it also has little to no discoloration of the weld and surrounding base material, due to no heat affected zone - which is an advantage with high polish and textured areas. With precision accuracy to .002”, it will allow UTM to repair even the smallest tooling. We can weld aluminum, steel, copper, and titanium alloys as well as chrome-nickel alloy and nitride surfaces.
New Tool Builds
UTM is a fully integrated partner with Jungwoo USA. We provide Low cost country sourcing to build single tools and multiple tool packages. As we dedicate our shops to engineering changes and emergency services, we use these multiple resources to serve the new tool needs of our customers. UTM works with customer engineers to specify mold designs. UTM then works with Jungwoo USA project engineers to have tools built to customer design specifications. This process allows UTM the opportunity to be the directing force for the tool build, thus removing the burden from our customers from the need to follow the tool build. UTM supports these tools and warrants the tools as if we built them ourselves.
United Tool & Mold offers complete freight services for our customers. With trucks we can haul tools weighing up to 85,000 pounds. By having in-house logistics and trucks, we can expedite any pick-up or shipment to meet our customer time demands.
